Spinlock Deckvest VITO Hammar (170N Mk2 with HRS)
Deckvest VITO is the latest Spinlock inflatable lifejacket harness technology, based on design work for the Volvo Ocean Race.
All teams were equipped with the same inflatable lifejacket harness developed in collaboration with a core group of Volvo offshore sailors.
Fundamental to the design was a lifejacket that crews actually wanted to wear more frequently, with developed custom features.
Striking design finish in durable rip stop fabric, 170N buoyancy with Hammar hydrostatic automatic inflator. Structured fit allows easy donning with simple to adjust buckles. Coarse adjustment to fit lifejacket to body size. Fine tune adjustment each time to allow for layers.
The new AFS (Advanced Flotation System) is smaller, lighter and softer than traditional welded 2D lifejackets. It puts the buoyancy of the inflated lifejacket where it functions best – giving enhanced rotation, freeboard and stability in the water. The very low profile bladder shape allows increased manoeuvrability in the water.
The Vito Hammer lifejacket is now fitted with the Harness Release System (HRS) as a standard feature. Developed by Spinlock, this will release the wearer from the tether by releasing the soft loop attachment, even under load if trapped/dragged alongside or behind the vessel. The rearming of the HRS is simple and quick and can be easily performed after use.
Added protection in high impact areas. New style structured sprayhood to reduce the risk of secondary drowning.
Pylon Lifejacket Light – high intensity, water activated flashing LED Light. 23cm flexible antenna wand gives improved visibility above head & water. Lume-On™ - Lifejacket bladder illumination lights included. Wider 40mm leg strap with stowage. Toggle attachment points for optional Chest Pack (DW-PCC).
Optional Ocean Signal AIS MOB2 or PLB2 can be fitted for automatic activation when the Vito is inflated.
