SPILICING 12 STRAND LINE

SPILICING 12 STRAND LINE

How to splice 12 strand rope.

This handy how to video by Marlow demonstrates how to splice lines consisting of just a 12 strand core and no cover. 12 Strand rope is increasingly popular on racing and performance cruising yachts and is relatively easy to splice. There are various methods of splicing and locking this but the principles remain the same. Our method shows a locking method using only one end of the rope also known as a Brummel Lock. This method is useful for any 12 strand rope with no cover regardless of material.

Locking 12 Strand Splice – Suitable for the following Marlow ropes: D12, V12, T12, Excel D12, Excel V12, PS12
